Rocky Grimes, a self-taught artist residing in southern Florida, speaks with the imagery he creates. His work has the ability to provoke thought yet address a common language based on his experiences and his ability to empathize. Grimes internalizes his experiences and observations of the world around him and transforms them into a visual language that perhaps the viewer may sometimes find unsettling yet simply can't disregard because it comes from a place that is shared.

In addition to creating fine art, Rocky has pushed the boundaries of silkscreen printing by defying the norms of the medium and taking the medium before live audiences in a format all his own. Rocky Grimes strives to keep his work original by taking all of his own photographs and avoiding the use of sourced material. He is stubborn and is determined to do things his way.
