Introducing the latest artist to join the PCP roster: Greg Foley!
Greg Foley is a Grammy-nominated album cover designer, the author-illustrator of the children’s series Thank You Bear(Viking), and a contributing cover artist for The New Yorker. His new book COOL: Style, Sound, and Subversion (Rizzoli) is the first illustrated history covering 100 years of subculture, style and music. As a founding member of Visionaire, V Magazine, VMAN, and VFiles, Foley has teamed up with such talents as David Bowie, Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, Mario Testino, Peter Saville, Jenny Holzer, Yoko Ono, and has created limited editions that have revolutionized the format of a publication. Foley has taught at Parsons School of Design for over fifteen years and is a visiting critic at Rhode Island School of Design, NYU, Columbia University, and Yale. He is a graduate of RISD, and has worked with diverse brands including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Warner Bros. Records, Adidas, Sony Playstation, Gap, Levi’s, Gucci and Tiffany & Co. His work has been exhibited at The Museum of Modern Art, and the Centre Pompidou, among other galleries and institutions around the world.
We will be releasing a series of four 12 x 12 inch prints to go with Foley's new book COOL: Style, Sound, and Subversion. Foley also put together several playlists to accompany each of the prints. You can give them a listen while you're waiting for the prints to go live. All four editions will be ready to purchase a week from today, on January 17th, 10AM PST. Stay tuned!
