Greek Coin Impressions
A unique vintage intaglio etching depicting an assortment of antique Greek coins, each illustrated with classical profiles, vessels, animals, and symbolic forms.
Created through the traditional intaglio process, the image was printed by inking an engraved copper plate and running it through a press. This technique leaves a subtle plate mark—a slight indentation around the image where the edge of the copper plate pressed into the paper—adding depth and evidence of the printmaking process.
Presented with a rich blue mat in a substantial black frame, the piece has the feel of an old-world study or collector’s cabinet.
