  • Pose & Revok: Uphill Both Ways

    June 24, 2013 1 min read

This Saturday! Jonathan LeVine Gallery presents Pose & Revok: Uphill Both Ways.

Both Pose and Revok draw inspiration directly from their environments in which their processes involve chopping up various elements and reassembling the slices to form a synthesis of intriguing shapes, forms and textures.  While Pose references more of the imagery of pop and comic art combined with advertising graphics, sign painting and graffiti to create graphic and colorful assemblage, Revok incorporates actual found materials from abandoned homes, school and churches into a kind of sculptural collage—both come to embody the same themes of human struggle with a broad spectrum of emotion.
