Mark Dean Veca and Poster Child Prints

June 13, 2012

Every year Poster Child Prints put together a wish list of artists we would love to work with and 2012 has been pretty good to PCP so far. With next weeks upcoming print release with Mark Dean Veca, we can happily say another wish list artist has been fulfilled!

We've been watching Mark Dean Veca for a while now and he has been busy! Besides his long list of solo shows and installations worldwide, he has collaborated on exciting projects including Original Fake with KAWS in 2008, and more recently a series products including Skate Decks, Shoes and Clothing for THE HUNDREDS.

Perhaps you will know him best for his large-scale indoor installations he has accomplished globally in institutions like the Spruce Street School designed by Frank Gehry in New York, The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and the Phillips, de Pury and Luxembourg building in New York.

Next week we are excited to be bringing our PCP fans an incredible limited edition print by Mark Dean Veca! MDV chose an iconic image from one of our favorite exhibitions of his. Teasers are coming soon but in the meantime we were lucky enough to catch him in the act at his studio in LA. Getting ready for his next show, Mark let us take a peek while he painted. We could have watched for hours. Thank you so much Mark for letting us come by!
