Natalia Fabia

Natalia Fabia (1983) is of Polish descent and is currently based in Los Angeles. In 2007, she graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. A skilled young oil painter, Fabia selects luminous subjects with an intriguing dichotomy — adult yet innocent, strong yet vulnerable.

Inspired by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, John Singer Sargent, ornate interiors, wild animals, voyeurism, and punk rock music, hot chicks and sparkles, to view her work is a voyeuristic endeavor. Fabia's playfully erotic female figures are adorned with alluring details — glimmering jewelry and intricate tattoos. Lush settings include environmental textures, elements of graffiti and iconic landmarks, infused with Fabia's signature style, a vividly saturated candy color palette. Scenes in these paintings — like most of her work — are a combination of fantasy narratives and actual moments captured from the artist's vibrant life, her passion for ornate fashion, nightlife and glamour with a punk rock edge.

She has been featured in Art Ltd., Angeleno, Juxtapoz, Inked and New York Arts magazine as well as appeared on Miami Ink, KNBC News, Fox 11 News, and was interviewed by Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols on Los Angeles' Indie 103.1. Fabia was featured in LA Weekly's 2010 People Issue as one of "LA's 100." She has done three solo shows with Corey Helford Gallery — and most recently, a solo show at Jonathan Levine Gallery, NYC. Her work has also been featured in numerous galleries and group shows worldwide.
