Back in August last year, PCP moved to a brand new office in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles! We are in good company across the street from Shepard Fairey’s STUDIO NUMBER-ONE and SUBLIMINAL PROJECTS and on the same block as BRAINBOW and BLOOD IS THE NEW BLACK.

FriendsWithYou in the BIG Apple

FriendsWithYou took NYC by storm! We coated the entire city with magic, from Time Square, to Central Park, the subway and even the taxicabs! With the opening of our two main attractions, the interactive installation “Rainbow City” presented by AOL and our first NY solo art show “:)” by FWY at The Hole gallery, FriendsWithYou’s NYC adventure is in full effect! We love New York and hope to keep spreading magic and smiles across the entire city!

We are happy to celebrate the successful opening of “Rainbow City” in NYC, in celebration of section 2 of the High Line Park. This interactive installation is the first major public art installation by FriendsWithYou! It has been a fun getaway for all of NYC, bringing smiles to all who step into this happy radiating world! Everyone is in love with this colorful event, as its been getting newsworthy attention from The New York Times, W Magazine, The Village Voice, PAPER Magazine, The Feast, The New York Observer, and so many more! With the New York City’s Major Michael R. Bloomberg initially opening this friendly city, and over 1,000 visitors per day, we can officially say Rainbow City is a total hit! Here are some images of this magical city! The installation will be open until July 5th, so make sure to go see it. It features an exclusive pop-up shop where limited edition products designed by FWY for AOL are available. A summer long activity zone with food and beverage is also featured, located adjacent to the installation site. There is still time to catch a piece of this unforgettable art installation! Lots from FWY in NYC!

PCP’s FriendsWithYou are coming to NYC this week in a BIG way. If your in the city, be sure to check these events out!

RAINBOW CITY at The High Line Park section 2, Wednesday June 8th at 11am!

At 11am on June 8th FWY will spread their Magic, Luck and Friendship across the big apple by brining the art installation “Rainbow City” to the High Line, in celebration of the park’s Section 2 opening! The High Line was built in the 1930s, as part of a massive
public-private infrastructure project, later abandoned, and now it is being preserved as a landmark and historic structure! The elevated public park lays over 30 feet above ground level, adjacent to The Lot at 30th street where “Rainbow City” will take place. The installation is presented by AOL, and will be open from June 8th to July 5th. Inaugurating in the art district of Chelsea, this will be FWY’s first large-scale installation in New York City. “Rainbow City” will feature an exclusive pop-up shop where limited edition products designed by FWY for AOL will be available. Featuring custom designs reflecting the colorful spirit of the show, the merchandise range includes t-shirts, tote bags, coloring books, cloisonne pins, iPhone skins and more. Sam And Tury of FriendsWithYou, alongside AOL, will also be participating in educational art programs designed for kids around the city all summer long. Stop by and explore the giant 16,000 square foot playground!

NYC SOLO SHOW at Hole Gallery, Thursday June 9th at 7pm. Smile! It’s the first New York solo exhibition by Miami duo, FriendsWithYou entitled “:)” opening on Thursday, June 9th! The exhibition will be showcased at The Hole NYC, in their brand new art space in Bowery! FWY will fill the gallery with a crowd of smiling faces and an interactive, experiential wonderland of pop-straction and participation is presented in collaboration with Native Shoes.
New Opening Date: Thursday June 9th, at 7pm
