JRF, American, b.1971. JRF is a formally trained, multi-disciplinary artist and designer. By challenging the preconceived functions of traditional media such as drawing, printmaking, painting, or photography, his concept-driven bodies of work seek out new definitions of truth and beauty. His visual and conceptual Influences range from the banality of consumer culture to the deepest reaches art history. His work often reflects a well-balanced combination of both traditional analog and contemporary digital processes. For more than fifteen years, he has exhibited work in galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad.
JRF is passionate about books, music, art and typography. The artist currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
