FriendsWithYou (FWY) is a Miami-based art collective established in 2002 by artists Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III. Since its conception, FWY has developed into a multidisciplinary creative studio whose work ranges from fine art to commercial design and spans all imaginative realms. From creating giant blimp parades, pop-up theme parks and bounce houses, to producing initial strategies and concepts, character design, branding, and full motion media animation, FWY seamlessly incorporates an element of magic into all of its work.
Recognized for the ability to think and produce on a level larger than life, FWY large-scale installations and experiential events have been featured in some of the most respected art fairs around the world such as Art Basel, Comicon, and Pictoplasma. FWY fine art has been exhibited and ⁄or included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin. FWY brings its charming characters and story-lines to life through a series of designer toys and apparel that are sold in boutiques and museum stores worldwide.
Due to its distinct style and astute technical abilities, FWY has been commissioned to help develop the image and identity of prominent brands such as Nike, MTV, Red Bull, Volkswagen, Target, Microsoft Zune, Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers, and Coca-Cola.
